We are seeking a qualified candidate for the role of IT Technician to play a key role at DGS, with technical responsibilities for ensuring the efficient and secure operation of information technology systems.Position Overview:
The IT Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of all corporate IT systems and providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, integrating new technologies, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.In this role, you will:- Provide efficient technical support to end-users regarding computer hardware, software, and network-related issues. Assuring prompt and effective resolution of trouble tickets and support requests. - Install, configure, and maintain corporate computer systems, servers, network devices, and other IT infrastructure components.- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, antivirus scans, and data backups to ensure system reliability and security.- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions in a timely manner.- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.- Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement to optimize efficiency and productivity.- Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to implement new technologies and systems that align with business objectives.- Conduct security audits and implement measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.- Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and training purposes.- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions and improvements.The Ideal Candidate would:

• A deep understanding of IT infrastructure, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining and improving technology systems.
• At least five (5) years of successful network administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with network security protocols.
• Self-motivated with a mindset for success
• Analytical skills to identify problems and deliver solutions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Security , Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are preferred.- Proven experience in IT support, system administration, or a related role.- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking protocols, and security principles.- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with end-users at all levels of the organization.- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-pacedWHY DGS?
